Ramadan Rumblings

If you're looking for a new story here, sorry. I'm not very productive during Ramadan and I tend to doze off at the keyboard, especially during the day. I think it's a case of caffeine or nicotine defeciency or something like that. It's nothing serious, I'll be better in 11 days or so.

Sahur, the pre-dawn meal, has not been very eventful so far. Imagine eating the same stuff from the same mamak stall every morning for the past 19 mornings! But he makes such a nice fish curry and I'm such a diehard curry man!

The score so far is 18/19 which is much better than the previous years. I must be getting healthier, eh? I'm aiming for a full score next year. I must. I will, too.

Ramadan Mubarak

Wishing all of you a very blessed Ramadan.

I think my Ramadan this year will be pretty much the same and I hope visits to the good Dr Shariff will be unnecessary. I'll try and take my antacid tablets regularly. I promise, okay?

Imagine. Special sahur feasts with total strangers at MacKandar outlets, break-of-fast parties with the town's assorted notables (who mostly came for the food but never stayed for Maghrib) at the local masjid and of course, teh-tarik gatherings with the gang at Kak Nab's after the Tarawih.

These round table teh-tarik meetings are necessary for our brain-storming sessions. The issue (yes, only a single issue) we usually fight over is whether we should go elsewhere for some sup tulang and rojak buah or just stay put at Kak Nab's and gobble up packets of Mengelembu groundnuts.

How exciting. Sigh!
